About

The Black Progressive Action Coalition (BPAC) is an independent progressive coalition of individuals and organizations committed to empowering Black communities through civic engagement, community mobilization, and campaigns that turn our issues into policies that change people’s lives.

By utilizing our three-part framework in defining the debate, we work to get ahead of the narrative and make sure our voices are heard by elected officials. We provide our activists with the technological tools, training, resources, and more to educate and empower voters across the country. And our work is built to empower and endure because we know organizing, activism, and mobilizing is 24/7, 365 days a year.

BPAC, along with our sister organization, BlackPAC, believes that Black voters are at the core of the modern progressive coalition. We work to advocate and mobilize our networks to support policies on criminal justice, voting rights, a caring economy, and more. Our approach doesn’t begin and end during election season either; we believe the only way to create meaningful change is through a concerted, collective effort that lasts year-round and is invested in elevating the voices of Black communities. Our goal is to create a lasting infrastructure for our communities to be able to take political power into their own hands and successfully advocate for the kind of changes they want to see.
